9. Checking the Routing Table – show ip route

EXERCISE 10: Viewing the Routing Table_________________________

Through the show ip route command you can directly examine the routing

table to determine if an entry for the host actually exists. The output of the

show ip route displays the entries in the routing table. (directly connected

network, static route, or which routing protocol was used to select the route,

and via the type of connection the information was collected).

View the routing table of r2 by entering:

r2# show ip route
