PC Connectivity Troubleshooting
1.9.1 Microsoft Windows PC System Minimum Requirements
Workstations running CTC Software R9.0 for the ONS products on Microsoft Windows platforms need
to have the following minimum requirements:
• Pentium III or higher processor
• Processor speed of at least 700 MHz
• 256 MB or more of RAM
• 50 MB or more of available hard disk space
• 20 GB or larger hard drive
1.9.2 Sun, Solaris, or UNIX System Minimum Requirements
Workstations running CTC Software R9.0 for the ONS products on Sun, Solaris, or UNIX workstations
need to have the following minimum requirements:
• UltraSPARC or faster processor
• 256 MB or more of RAM
• 50 MB or more of available hard disk space
1.9.3 Supported Platforms, Browsers, and JREs
CTC Software R9.0 supports the following platforms:
• Microsoft Windows NT
• Microsoft Windows 98
• Microsoft Windows XP
• Microsoft Windows 2000
• Sun, Solaris, or UNIX 8
• Sun, Solaris, or UNIX 9
• Sun, Solaris, or UNIX 10
• Microsoft Windows Vista
CTC Software R9.0 supports the following browsers and JREs:
• Netscape 7 browser (on Sun, Solaris, or UNIX 8 or 9 with Java plug-in 1.4.2 or 5.0)
• Microsoft Windows PC platforms with Java plug-in 1.4.2 or 5.0
• Internet Explorer 6.0 browser (on Microsoft Windows PC platforms with Java plug-in 5.0)
• Mozilla application suite for browsers
Note The supported browser can be downloaded from the Web.
Note The required JRE version for Software R9.0 is JRE 5.0.
